Jae Sik Jeon is Postdoctoral Scholar of the Urban Displacement Project. He is a skilled researcher committed to expanding access to opportunity, with expertise in housing policy and quantitative analysis. His research interests include housing policy, residential mobility, affordable housing, and geography of opportunity. Jae has co-authored over ten journal articles and research reports on these topics. Before coming to UC Berkeley, he conducted research on and wrote articles about affordable housing and community development strategies for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Policy Development and Research. Prior to that, Jae interned at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where he helped build, manage, and analyze data on the rental housing market and subsidized households. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor and master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Engineering from Yonsei University.
