Emely Martínez Ramírez is a third-year student at UC Berkeley, where she is studying Political Science and minoring in History and Data Science. Her experience growing up in the South Bay informs her interests in equitable housing and identifying and supporting the communities most impacted by housing insecurity.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
