Emery Reifsnyder is a Master of City Planning student at UC Berkeley. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Emery is passionate about the intersection of housing policy, climate resiliency, social equity and data science. Before Berkeley, Emery worked at Strategic Economics, an urban economics firm in Berkeley, where he led statistical analyses and designed data visualizations for projects including affordable housing strategies, housing elements, and transit-oriented development studies. Emery holds a BA in environmental policy & planning from Tufts University.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
