Jessie Wang is an urban planner interested in tenant and small business anti-displacement strategies, housing policy, and economic development. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Department of City & Regional Planning and has worked for the City of Champaign Planning and Development Department and PolicyLink. She resides in Chicago.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
