Kate Ham (they/them) is a Master of City Planning student at UC Berkeley. They are passionate about housing justice, community-based planning, and using data to support community organizers. Before Berkeley, Kate worked as a housing policy researcher at the Community Service Society of New York and a consultant for Urban Habitat. They hold a BA in Urban Studies from Stanford University.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
