Mariela Herrick is a Public Health Practitioner, Planner, and Master’s in City Regional Planning candidate at the University of California Berkeley. Her research interest are centered around community development, informal economies, economic prosperity, and issues of gentrification and displacement.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
