Rosalie is a PhD student in Urban Planning at Columbia University, focusing on transportation and inequality. As a Master’s student at UCLA, she developed the station profiles for the LA gentrification and displacement project and researched rent burdens and affordable housing. Rosalie has a BA from Smith College. Prior to graduate school, she was an Economist at the Department of Transportation.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
