Trang Van is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science. She is passionate about the intersection of social good and tech and hopes to pursue a career centered on this. Since May 2021, Trang has worked on CCI projects focused on COVID-19’s effects on the Bay Area’s small businesses and various cities’ mobility. Prior to coming to Berkeley, Trang was a student at De Anza College where she started her studies in Computer Science. There, she was a teaching assistant for multiple CS classes. In her free time, Trang likes to discover new coffee shops and collect plants for her home.
The project aims to understand the nature of gentrification, and displacement, and exclusion in American cities. It focuses on creating tools to help communities identify the pressures surrounding them and take more effective action.
