Prof. Karen Chapple Testifies Before the House Financial Services Committee

In January, UDP Faculty Director Karen Chapple testified at the House Financial Services Committee hearing, “On the Brink of Homelessness: How the Affordable Housing Crisis and the Gentrification of America Is Leaving Families Vulnerable.” In her statement, Karen discussed drivers of the housing affordability crisis, displacement, and housing precarity, and then detailed policies and programs that could help — in housing, health care, labor, transportation, and data and evaluation.

You can read the full text of Karen’s testimony here, or watch the recording (Karen starts around minute 39).
